Calling all Leaders! UMBC's LEAP Academy 

UMBC's LEAP Academy is a 5-month leadership development experience designed to provide the critical professional competencies and people skills that new people managers need to be effective at leading others and teams. This program is also appropriate for existing supervisors who need a tune-up on today's critical foundational managerial competencies to better support their team. 


This cohort-style program (3 separate 20-person cohorts) will be delivered in a hybrid format with live in-person instructional sessions and virtual team coaching sessions. Participants will also receive an All-Access Pass to FranklinCovey's Impact Portal where they will have access to additional resources. 

Applications for the cohort are due June 14. The program will kick off on August 19, 2024 and continue through the fall semester. Click here for more information and a program overview.

Human Resources & Strategic Talent Management (HRSTM)  invites all staff & faculty to join us to explore and connect with the HRSTM units and learn more about the services and resources available to help your professional growth and personal well-being!

Help us kick off the week and join us for our open house: Meet us at the boardwalk! Come explore our boardwalk-themed event and learn more about our units, meet HRSTM staff, and enjoy games, snacks, and prizes! Then on Tuesday, visit us at the RAC for our Community Wellness Day featuring a wide variety of wellness services and events.
