Participate in the Welcome, Retrievers! Program
Summer has started, but we are already gearing up for the arrival of new students in the Fall! There are lots of opportunities for departments to participate in Welcome, Retrievers! (formerly called Welcome Week) and we hope that everyone that would like to participate has the opportunity to do so. Welcoming new students to UMBC is our collective work and the partnerships and programs that have been offered by departments have been central to the success of the overall program!
Welcome, Retrievers! is excited to invite sign ups and submissions for the following:
Retriever Fest (Saturday, August 23, 2025)
Academic Resource Fair (Monday, August 25, 2025)
Academic Open Houses ((Monday, August 25 - Tuesday, September 9)
Departmental Open Days (Monday, August 25 - Tuesday, September 9)
Welcome, Retrievers! Pre-Existing Event (Monday, August 25 - Tuesday, September 9)
If you are unfamiliar with any of the listed programs, we have a cheat sheet you can reference to help give context for each of these opportunities.
Submissions due by Friday, June 27, 2025 at 4pm for inclusion in printed booklet
Submissions due by Monday, July 14th, 2025 at 4pm or when capacity is reached
