2019 PSS and CUSS Elections 


The PSS Elections Committee invites you to nominate yourself or a fellow UMBC staff member for our 2019 – 2021 Professional Staff Senate (PSS) and Council of University System Staff (CUSS). 

Nominees must be a UMBC exempt employee with at least one year of service. 

What is the Professional Staff Senate (PSS)?

We represent all professional (exempt) staff in the UMBC shared governance system. 

What do we do?

We provide a forum for discussing issues involving or of interest to exempt staff members. Some of these topics have included FLSA, campus climate, employee benefits, and state budget updates and impacts.

We contribute to community life at UMBC by organizing professional development and social events for staff and volunteering for non-PSS sponsored events. Each member serves on selected subcommittees of their choosing regarding policies and procedures, from athletics to the library to staff outreach and development.
