A chance to help people facing homelessness in Baltimore

Drop off care kits at the Shriver Center now to 7/23

The Shriver Center and UMBC Transit have organized a restaurant week to provide hundreds of individuals facing homelessness in Baltimore with a restaurant experience at Tabrizi's. The goal is to send every person home with a care kit, and that's where you come in.

If you want to help, drop off a care kit(s) at the Shriver Center between now and July 23.

Kits should include:
  • Toiletry items: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, deodorant, razor, toothpaste, toothbrush (full-size preferred)
  • Socks
  • Soft snacks, e.g. breakfast and cereal bars
  • Other potential items include: feminine hygiene products, lip balm, mouthwash
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Hannah Schmitz (hannahs@umbc.edu) or Ciara Christian (cichris1@umbc.edu). A flyer is attached.
