[Repost] Get Ready for Homecoming: October 26 – 31!

Homecoming is getting a new energy at UMBC this year! From Monday, October 26 through Saturday, October 31, we’re creating a week centered on students, Retriever spirit, traditions, and opportunities to come together as a community.

The week kicks off Monday with Homecoming Hype, where students can enjoy music, have a chance to grab a tshirt, and celebrate with fellow Retrievers. On Tuesday, students are encouraged to Showcase Their Spirit by wearing UMBC gear, student organization apparel, or black and gold—with opportunities to win some great prizes!

Wednesday brings a favorite UMBC tradition back to Erickson Field for the Homecoming Bonfire, followed Thursday night by one of the biggest events of the week: Chance the Rapper live in the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena!

On Friday, we’ll bring the energy to the Stadium Lot for a Homecoming Tailgate before cheering on Retriever Men’s Soccer under the lights.

And because Homecoming ends on Halloween this year, we’re closing out the week Saturday with a Halloween Haunted House in the UC Ballroom! Stay tuned for a few more surprises and opportunities to get involved.
